Guest Mix - Mother: Tomorrow Is The Question

Mark Maxwell aka Mother is one of the heads that runs the This Is Our House blog. We met through Rubadub (as is often the case in Glasgow) and realised quickly that we had a shared enthusiasm for experimental music. After hearing Mark DJ at a Tri-Angle records showcase I asked if he’d like to contribute the first guest mix for our blog and the selection that follows is what he came up with…

He also had this to say and we thought it was important to share it with you…

“With the exception of one, all the records that feature on this mix were procured from actual record stores for under 15 quid. Although this information may be inconsequential to most, if it inspires at least one person to go out and support their local record shop, while finding some bargains in the process, then this can only be a good thing. While I have absoloutely nothing against internet shopping (I’ve even dabbled in it myself), record stores have acted as the muscle and sinew of underground music culture since time immemorial and in times like these they need our patronage more than ever. Hope you enjoy the mix.
